Egg hunts, Cactus prints & Pikachu obsessions | Little Loves

It's been a case of back to much needed reality this week after the Easter Break. I enjoyed having Lily at home with us for three weeks (yes three weeks, I know!) but it's been beyond hectic and it's nice to settle back into the routine of nursery runs, staying in with Archer and doing a whole heap of nothing (in between said nursery runs!)

I guess I've just really missed the mundane

This quote is one of my faves and one I've been reading a lot this week. I'm a migraine sufferer and this week has been a solid week of migraine attacks. I've actually not had a week this bad in ages when it comes to my migraines. I haven't go much done at all, haven't even made a dent in my list of things for the week but I'm trying not to be too down on myself. I'm reminding myself that even getting out of bed and parenting when I'm feeling this way is an accomplishment in itself. Small victories indeed!

Migraines, you are the devil.

I spent all of Easter Sunday watching Lily do her Easter egg hunts which was the highlight of the day for me. She was so in to it, and her little face would light up when she discovered the next clue.

This week Lily has somehow (seriously, don't ask me how!) discovered THIS Pikachu song on YouTube and she insists on playing it on repeat. It is the most frustratingly catchy song in the universe and the current bane of my life! I even hear it when I close my eyes at night!

I got to work 'making' Archers room resemble something semi decent this weekend. It sure has taken a while but we're nearly there now, thank god. It's supposed to be a woodland/tribal sort of mish mash theme but its ended up having a little bit of everything, which I quite like. Hopefully I'll be able to get a room tour post up soon.

Being ever obsessed with cacti I purchased a cactus print vest for Archer which arrived this week. I'm a little bit in love! I bought a khaki coloured romper to go over the top of it too and I'm really liking the combo.
This weekend James has agreed to take the kids out so I can get the house back to a semi fit state. I want to do several charity shop trips and I'd image a few trips to the dump as well. Hopefully if I knuckle down the house will be looking spick and span by Monday. Watch this space!
